About Lohn School
Lohn Independent School District is a rural Pre-K through 12 district located in McCulloch County in Central Texas. Lohn ISD prides itself in its academic achievements. Our students consistently out-perform state averages. As a result, the district has been awarded the State of Texas’ highest recognition of “Exemplary” or the State’s second highest recognition of “Recognized” 8 times since the 1995-96 school year—6 “Exemplary”; 2 “Recognized.” During the 2000-2001 school year, Lohn ISD was one of 5 Texas school districts nationally recognized for its Title I program.
Lohn students are privileged to have a campus that has some of the latest technology available to public school students across the Lone Star State. Lohn ISD and 7 other area schools aided by Central Texas Telephone Cooperative formed the INFONET distance-learning network in 1994. Since its inception INFONET has offered college credit classes and “dual-credit” classes through Central Texas College. Lohn School seniors typically produce a video of their activities that is shown during graduation ceremonies.
